I've known Tammy since high school. I'm not really sure when we first met, but we got to know each other well after we graduated and were roommates a few times. She lived in LA for awhile while she was getting her Master's and visiting her was like going back home again for awhile. Tammy is super fun and incredibly funny, and she recently moved in to a new apartment in Seattle. She bought the lonely pink and white peonies oven mitt for her new kitchen. For her birthday, I decided to make her a matching reversible half apron.

You may have noticed in the News section on the main page that PenguinBot has been accepted to the first annual Renegade Craft Fair in Los Angeles! This is another juried show and we are so pleased to have been accepted! Renegade LA is July 11th and 12th in the California Market Center in downtown LA.



We shopped at a different fair in the California Market Center a few months ago and I have to say, it's a really neat space. The show is in the penthouse, where there are some great views of downtown LA, and there are lots of little [more]

I met Paola at Bazaar Bizarre. She came to my booth toward the end of the day on Sunday, when I'd sold all but one of my oven mitts. The only one left was my pink peonies oven mitt, and she was not interested in having pink in her kitchen.



I gave her a business card with my email address and told her to email me if she'd like to see what other fabrics I have, and a few days later she did. She picked the green apple fabric, and I found some coordinating fabric for the innards in my stash.
