It is the complete wrong season for this hat. I'm not sure there's ever a right season for this hat in San Diego, but if there is, I promise you summer is not it. It's been in the 90s and super humid...so of course, I thought, "Hey, I'll make that hat that uses bulky wool!" This is the Meathead Hat.

I was going to start knitting a teddy bear for the baby, but after how much fun Mr. Poop had helping make his penguin, I've decided to hold off a little on making her a toy until she can remember it or help a little. So instead I decided to make her a hat and some mittens. (This is the hat I showed the beginnings of here.) I finished these a little while ago but I was a bit lazy about taking pictures.

I may have mentioned at some point (probably in passing, probably buried in some other post, because I felt guilty about it) that in the 2 years I have had a child (and the 9 months I knew he was coming before that) I had yet to make anything for him. Well, unless you count breastmilk, because I made that for a year. A YEAR PEOPLE. I think that should count for something. Where was I? Oh right. I started thinking about things I could make for the new baby (she's coming in six weeks?!) and then felt guilty again as I remembered that I had still not made a damn thing for Mr. Poop.
