Mr. Poop and Dr. Pants
planted a garden a few months ago. I mentioned
the dahlias last week, but now some of the other things they planted are starting to ripen. We've got lots of green tomatoes on our heirloom plant and the other dahlia is starting to show signs of blooming soon, but the most exciting thing is that we've been getting some fresh strawberries for a couple weeks.
Mr. Poop likes to pick the strawberries, so he keeps a watch on the deck to see if any are ready yet. "Mommy,

Did you know how quickly baby things knit up? Why did no one tell me this when I thought I was too busy to knit Mr. Poop some baby things a few years ago? I started this baby hat last night and I'm about halfway done with only a couple hours of lazy knitting. I think baby hats are as close to instant gratification as you can get with knitting.
I've reached the stage in pregnancy where you stop sleeping well. Mr. Poop has reached the stage in toddlerhood where he likes to push buttons and run run run and crumble to the floor in an over-dramatic heap of sobs when he doesn't get his own way

Dr. Pants and I used dahlias for the bouquet/boutonnière flowers in our wedding. We didn't have any sort of particular love or obsession with them beforehand, I just thought they were pretty and there was
a place we could get some farm fresh dahlias the day before the wedding for a nice price, so we went with it. Of course, now they hold special meaning for us because, you know, we used them in our wedding.
